Get found on Google with a Business Profile
A free Google Business Profile puts your shop on Google Maps and in local search when someone looks for a printer nearby. Keep it accurate, add photos of real work, and ask happy customers for honest reviews.
Many local buyers start with a search on their phone. A complete Google Business Profile is free and is often the first thing they see, before your website or social pages.
Set it up properly
- Use your real shop name, exactly as it appears on your signboard.
- Choose the main category that fits best, such as print shop or commercial printer, and add a few related ones.
- Add your address, a map pin in the right place, your area of service and your opening hours.
- Write a short description of what you print and for whom, in plain words.
- Verify the profile, so you can edit it and reply to reviews.
Photos of real work
Add photos of jobs you have printed (with the customer's permission where their brand is visible), your presses and finishing, and the shop front. Real photos are more convincing than stock images, and fresh photos show that the shop is active.
Reviews, asked for honestly
After a job goes well, ask the customer if they would leave a short review. Never offer payment or discounts for reviews and never write them yourself: it breaks Google's rules and can get the profile suspended. Reply to every review, good or bad, briefly and politely.
Keep it current
- Update hours for holidays and festivals.
- Answer questions people ask on the profile.
- Post a short update or new photo now and then.
Check the profile once a month. Wrong hours or an old phone line send buyers to the next shop on the list.
Link it to the rest of your presence
Add your website or catalogue link to the profile, and link back to the profile from your website and social pages. Use the same shop name, address and opening hours everywhere. Matching details across the web help search engines trust that your shop is real and current, and help customers find the right place.
